Prof Muchkund Dubey
Prof. Muchkund Dubey is the President of the Council for Social Development. He was formerly Foreign Secretary in the Government of India. He was Professor in International Relations at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi and is currently Professor Emeritus at the Foreign Services Institute. His research includes a wide array of issues related to world economy, international monetary and trading systems, security and disarmament, South Asian cooperation and international relations.
Mr Tomihiro Taniguchi
Mr Tomihiro Taniguchi is the Deputy Director-General and Head, Department of Nuclear Safety, International Atomic Energy Agency, Austria. He has served as the Executive Director of Nuclear Power Engineering Corporation, Japan. He has an experience spanning 30 years working for the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry. He was the Japanese Government's chief administrative officer on all aspects of commercial use of nuclear energy, including safety and regulation during his tenure as the Deputy Director General in charge of nuclear policy. He is a visiting Professor at the University of Tokyo.
Mr Chandrasekar Dasgupta
Mr Chandrasekar Dasgupta is Distinguished Fellow at TERI, Member of PM’s Council on Climate Change and Member of UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. He recently served also as Chairperson of the China Task Force. During his diplomatic career he held several important posts including Indian Ambassador to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg, Ambassador- China and High Commissioner-Tanzania and Singapore and Ambassador & DPR at the United Nations, New York. He led the Indian delegation in the preparatory negotiations for the Rio Summit on Environment and Development (1992) as well as the UNFCCC. He was Vice-Chair of both the UN preparatory committee for the Rio Summit as well as the International Negotiating Committee for the Framework Convention.
Mr Mark Runacres
Mr. Mark Runacres is the India Advisor to the Confederation of British Industry. He has worked on Indian affairs during his career in the British Diplomatic Service, especially in his two spells at the British High Commission in New Delhi, the second as Deputy Chief of Mission and as Trade Director for Africa and South Asia at the British Department for Trade and Industry. He holds positions in boards of many organizations. He has a vast experience on international trade and investment, international security, development, political analysis, strategy and policy formulation.
Mr. Krishna V. Rajan
Mr. Krishna Rajan is Chairman of ITEE and ITEI Private Ltd, Indian subsidiaries of the ITE Group plc. He has served in diplomatic assignments in several countries including the UK, USA, Zambia and France and as Ambassador to Algeria and Nepal. He was Permanent Secretary and later Advisor to the Minister of External Affairs. He was also Member, National Security Advisory Board, and President of the Association of Indian Diplomats.
Mr. Siddharth Varadarajan
Mr Siddharth Varadarajan is the Chief of Bureau, The Hindu, Delhi. He is editor of Gujarat: The Making of a Tragedy. He was conferred with the Ramnath Goenka award for Journalist of the Year in the print category for his coverage of the Indo-US nuclear deal in 2010. He was a visiting professor at the Graduate School of Journalism, University of California, Berkeley in 2007 and in 2009, he was a Poynter Fellow at Yale University. He has extensively reported on Yugoslavia, Afganistan, Iraq and Kashmir among others.
